Sittin' on a Sunday
04:16
|
|||
I'm sittin' on a Sunday talking to Mary
wondering where the good ones went
I'm sittin' on a Sunday hands in my pockets
wondering where the good ones went
now I don't know what I aint been told
don't you know that I'm just a man
and I don't own what I aint been sold
so I'm trying not to shake their hands
Look up at the sky, one star at a time
Look up at the sky and know it goes on and on...
I see a little clearer when I open my eyes
yeah we all go away in the end
they seem a little clearer without their disguise
it's so much easier not to pretend
she said we're here and now yeah that's all we got
so get down fro up on those steps
you aint getting any higher by clasping your hands
go out and do the best you can

Right Before Our Eyes
05:25
|
|||
train tracks
smoke stacks
orange setting sun
bare trees
with weak knees
know the time has come
small sprouts
peeking on out
feel the warm sunshine
in the southwest
Ontario
I hear the geese now cry
changing times and it feels so right
to have you here
right here by my side
it's happening right before our eyes
life moves on in a beautiful disguise
right before our eyes
the wind blows
as the whitecaps flow
down by the riverside
clouds float
up in the sky
and just like me they're taking their time
birdsong
up in the trees
warmth now on our skin
we're free from
the four walls
that kept all the heat in

Lookin' for Some Light
04:45
|
|||
I'm lookin' for some light
I'm lookin' for some light O Lord
when those shadows cast me down
down on the ground
I'm lookin' for some light
O Lord
I'm lookin' for some light
many road I've traveled down
many folks I've met
I been to the edge of darkness
and back again
where we go and what we see
depends entirely
on our thoughts and our actions
our positive energy
sometimes the sun
it don't seem to shine
we're packing up our boxes
and running on down the line
empty pockets
and hearts out on our sleeves
tears welling up in our eyes
we're our own worst enemies
time moves on
sometimes it's hard to see
the hands moving forward
they're ticking on constantly
all we got is now
and all I got is you
learning to love
well it's the hardest thing to do
